Saved Search Tips and Tricks for Domain Auction Aftermarket

If you’re new to the domain investing (even if you’re not), then you likely encounter a how cumbersome of a task it is to identify undervalued domains.

From NameJet to GoDaddy to Dynadot to SnapNames along with many more domain auction aftermarket platforms, identifying and narrowing in on undervalued domains — whether expired, public, private, or closeout — is a full time job in itself.

Thousands of domains expire in auction daily (as a subset of data is shown via DomainState.com chart below), and an unidentified number of those domains go on to be caught, or deleted and made available for hand registration (small percentage, but still happens).

How to Increase SEO Context to Boost Search Rankings and Results.

A few years back, I pondered the impact of a newly birthed semantic search strategy pertaining to small businesses with a hyper-local customer base.

Of course, semantic search has transformed into much more since that time, expanding beyond local SEO.

Most website owners and operators often depend upon the great Google to drive both online and offline business in some way, shape, form, or fashion.

And since the birth of SEO, the golden question most folks desire to know in great depth is:

How do I increase my website content’s SEO effectiveness to boost search rankings and results?

How to Display WordPress Posts on Specific Pages

I was recently helping a friend establish his web presence when he encountered an interesting situation quite common for WordPress beginners: displaying WordPress Posts on Specific Pages.

When he originally launched his website, Abolitionist.cc, via WordPress, it was to be a simple website consisting of the following pages:

  • Home
  • About
  • Contact
  • Shop

But about 2-3 weeks into launching the website, he discovered an opportunity to engage and educate his reading audience via a blog section.

At the time, his Home page was listing the latest 10 WordPress posts — quite a common setup when launching a vanilla install of WordPress.

With a goal to make the Home page a bit more unique in time, my friend currently desires to list the latest 10 WordPress posts on both a Home and Blog page, having the display of both pages somewhat different.

So, how does one go about displaying WordPress posts on specific pages?

How to Fix Hootsuite’s “Check out this link” Issue.

A week or so ago, I was scanning my Twitter profile feed in search of another tweet when I saw a slew of posts with the title “Check out this link” followed by a Facebook link.

check out this link - twitter feed

Each tweet had the same title but different link associations. At first, I thought my account had maybe been hacked.

Not wanting to click the link that followed “Check out this link,” I created a controlled virtual environment to view the link from to control it should it be a virus, malware or ransomware.

Even though it was posted on Twitter, one can’t take chances by blindly clicking links.

Nevertheless, I clicked the link only to be taken to one of my daily expired auction pages. Then, I had an aha moment.

What a week it’s been in the domain industry!

At the beginning of this week, news broke that MediaOptions purchased DomainSherpa, the leading educational media company dedicated to the domain name industry, after Michael Cyber retired for greener and more relaxing pastures.

Now it’s a Friday afternoon and almost time to call it quits when I stumbled upon what looks to be a valiant effort to be the next DomainSherpa for Emoji Domains.

How to Auto Publish WordPress Posts to Instagram

UPDATE 01/15/2018: It appears the plugin recommended below is no longer allowed by Instagram because it uses an external API that is NOT the official Instagram API.

It’s been a minute since I tackled automating blog posts to social networks.

If you’ve been keeping track, then you know we’ve created auto-post tutorials for Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Google+ using a variety of plugins and different paid and non-paid services.

I’m assuming that you guessed by the title of today’s post that we’d tackle how to publish WordPress blog posts to Instagram.

Instagram is a different social network beast than Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social networks.  And here’s why I think so…

A few days ago, I received an email from one of my customers.

This particular customer’s website is hosted via GoDaddy’s WordPress hosting offering.

They’ve been a long-time customer and have not had any major issues using GoDaddy Web hosting services.

This same customer also uses Goldmine as its customer relationship management (CRM) software to manage its contacts.

As it seamlessly integrates with Goldmine, this customer most recently started using Intelliclick email and web marketing software to send and track usage.

So, what could go wrong, right?
