Hootsuite Tutorial: Share and Auto Publish WordPress Posts to Social Networks
So, you’ve got a business to run and customers to serve every waking hour of the business day.
Include a personal life, the occasional potty break, eating and sleeping, and there’s not room left for much more, right?
But like the competition, you want to increase your website’s visibility in search ranking in hopes of reaching more customers and closing more sales, right?
But how? After all, you manage to establish a decent content marketing strategy, and are off to the races consistently writing and publishing content.
Then a few months into your content marketing excursion, or maybe you’re in the planning stage if you move a bit slower, you realize that content marketing is as much a full-time assignment as serving your customers.
You write and schedule post after post with keyword after keyword focus only to see minimal traffic and search ranking increase.
You have the first part of the equation down, which is writing, scheduling and publishing content that’s engaging to your reader audience (potential customers).
Although search engines are finding and indexing your content to share with the world of readers and potential customers in need of your business offering, what are you doing to share your content outside the walls of your website?
Believe it or not, a “write and publish it, and readers will come” approach is not going to do much for your website and business.
And because of this, I’m sharing with you a free social content sharing software that you can use to expand your website’s reader and engagement reach every time you publish new content.
The social content sharing software I reference is HootSuite, and it’s used by many businesses, big and small, to engage with audiences across a variety of social networks (35 social networks and growing).
It’s a tool that I personally use to share content via Google+, and one that has enabled the growth of my website traffic as a top traffic source.
Not only can you share via Google+, but Facebook, Instagram, Vine, LinkedIn, Twitter, SnapChat and more.
Hootsuite offers the ability to quickly respond to multiple messages, comments, and mentions in a single click. You can also schedule posts too.
Again, it’s a free tool, but do understand the free accounts are limited in functionality. However, the paid plans are affordable and offers greater ease-of-use functionality that exponentially saves time in the long run.
If you’re longing into each social media account to live post and share your content, then you’re doing it all wrong and wasting your time, money and engagement opportunities.
