It’s been a minute since I tackled automating blog posts to social networks.

If you’ve been keeping track, then you know we’ve created auto post tutorials for Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Google+ using a variety of plugins and different paid and non-paid services.

I’m assuming that you guessed by the title of today’s post that we’ll tackle how to publish WordPress blog posts to Instagram.

Instagram is a whole different beast of a social network in comparison to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other social networks.  And here’s why I think so…

Instagram is a bit of a learning curve, because of getting acclimated to using filters and photos to express and take the place of words.

I’m not really much a photo collage or experiencing life through photos. But if you are then, you know that Instagram is just that and more, to say the least.

Since it’s primarily photo driven, I’m sure you’re wondering why anyone would ever want to use a WordPress blog to auto post to their Instagram account.

I thought the same thing until I was approached by a customer requesting WordPress to Instagram automation.

Of course, there are many other tools such as Buffer and Hootsuite that likely allow for scheduling and automated posting to Instagram.

But if you tend to operate in the realm of WordPress and want to get a big bang for your buck using Instagram, then today’s tutorial will help you save time while increasing efficiency via automation.

There are a few ways to auto post WordPress blogs to Instagram. The most simple way is using your blog’s feed using a special WordPress plugin, Auto-Post WordPress to Instagram.

However, since you’ll only be able to use the blog title and featured image to post to Instagram, I suggest you make a category dedicated to Instagram. Then use the category feed to automate your posts from WordPress to Twitter.

In fact, I’ve provided an easy-to-follow video tutorial below that walks through step-by-step instruction of how to successfully install and setup automating WordPress blog posts to Instagram.

Let me know if you have any questions or comments. See you around.

Alvin your video is very good.
My question now is: is there a way to automatically set my daily posts from my WordPress blog if I do not have a business account.
I followed the steps up to the point where it told me I needed to change my account to Business.
My blog is not one that I am monetizing or plan to so if at all possible I would like to avoid the change.
    I thank you in advance.
    Jose

    Hi Jose,

Thanks for your comment. When you referenced “…up to the point where it told me I needed to change my account to Business.”, what is IT? Are you referring to Instagram, WordPress, or Video Tutorial?

You should be able to auto publish WordPress posts to Instagram regardless of Personal or Business account.

Let me know and I’ll be more than glad to help you. In fact, feel free to email me at info /a/t kickstartcommerce dot .com. Thanks and talk soon.

Hi George – Thanks for comment/question. As for now, there is not an alternative as Instagram has locked down their API.
