Remedy Whois Verification Confirm Email Link Not Working

June 11, 2018 No Comments
Written by: Alvin Brown

Recently I had purchased expired domains from the GoDaddy platform. About a week after purchase, those same domains were successfully transferred into my GoDaddy account.

And just as I expected with newly added domains to my GoDaddy account, I received an email to take action in regards to Whois Verification as mandated annually by ICANN.

If you do verify Whois Contact Information to be accurate, most registrars will disable services related to the domain (i.e. Parking, Hosting, Email, SSL, etc.).

Nevertheless, verifying Whois Contact Information via GoDaddy is quite the breeze.

How to Increase SEO Context to Boost Search Rankings and Results.

A few years back, I pondered the impact of a newly birthed semantic search strategy pertaining to small businesses with a hyper-local customer base.

And since the birth of SEO, the golden question most folks desire to know in great depth is:

How do I increase my website content’s SEO effectiveness to boost search rankings and results?

Seeing that I have more than a decade of hands-on experience with search marketing and helping lead turnaround efforts to reposition personal and company brand websites, I would like to share a simple tip often overlooked that is likely to increase reader engagement — to say the least.

This simple yet often overlooked tip has nothing to do with how you write content (believe it or not). It involves setting the reader’s expectation for whether or not they choose to click to read and consume your content.

What is this simple tip you dying to know more about? This tip is so simple that you’ll kick yourself for not adding it many moons ago.

Troubleshooting and Fixing FTP Connection Error When Using Cloudflare

I received an email the other day from a customer that’s been us nearly 15 years.

About a year or so ago, we served this customer by upgrading their website design and hosting as well as implementing SEO retainer services.

Most recently, in an effort to speed up and optimize website performance, we implemented the use of Cloudflare for the customer’s website hosted via Bluehost.

If you haven’t heard of or not using Cloudflare, then you are missing out on realizing greater website performance and increased boost search rankings.

I originally discovered Cloudflare and all of it’s goodness from SEO Legend Bill Hartzer while attending DNHouston some time ago.

The reason I mention Cloudflare is because this is where my mind immediately was drawn to when receiving the customer’s email about not being able to successfully File Transfer Protocol (FTP) to the web server.

How to Display WordPress Posts on Specific Pages

May 25, 2018 No Comments

I was recently helping a friend establish his web presence when he encountered an interesting situation quite common for WordPress beginners: displaying WordPress Posts on Specific Pages.

When he originally launched his website, Abolitionist.cc, via WordPress, it was to be a simple website consisting of the following pages:

  • Home
  • About
  • Contact
  • Shop

But about 2-3 weeks into launching the website, he discovered an opportunity to engage and educate his reading audience via a blog section.

At the time, his Home page was listing the latest 10 WordPress posts — quite a common setup when launching a vanilla install of WordPress.

With a goal to make the Home page a bit more unique in time, my friend currently desires to list the latest 10 WordPress posts on both a Home and Blog page, having the display of both pages somewhat different.

So, how does one go about displaying WordPress posts on specific pages?
