Stumbling into domain investing by way of web development, I launched KickstartCommerce.com almost a decade ago, and Kickstart.fm just shy of half that time.

Since that time, I’m always amazed by the multifariousness most are introduced to domain investing, and even more by the same multifarious nature of its people.

Today’s podcast guest is no exception to that. In fact, today’s guest has been in the industry for nearly twenty-five (25) years and counting — yes, since the late 1900s, or said another way, the mid-1990s. 🙂

The first digital land rush — .com, .net, and .org to name a few — happened a couple of decades ago, and minted quite a few millionaires along the way.

Not quite a decade ago, the second digital land rush — new TLDs — had high hopes minting even more millionaires. Actually, the inverse has happened.  More folks lost their money than actually made a dime worth talking about.

But between these two milestone events, an entire domain market segment and economy is thriving, getting bigger as the days, months, and years pass: country code top-level domains (ccTLDs).

What do you get when you combine backgrounds in linguistics, systems engineering, and a serial entrepreneurial spirit? 🤔

It’s not every day that we stumble upon a domain investor that’s kicking butt and taking names with undeniable daily domain sales.

A few months ago, I received an interesting email alert that contained a link to an article, Domain prices are unregulated and rising at an alarming rate, about how the days of enjoying reasonably priced domain names may be coming to an end.

Always intrigued by anything pertain to domain names in general, this article’s title got me to click hook, line, and sinker.
