Yet another week has passed us by. I’ve had quite a productive week on all fronts. Let’s see, what happened…

Oh yeah, I managed to win a few .com and .net domain auctions towards the end of this week. I thought I was going to have to lose my man card and watch How Stella Got Her Groove Back to get my domain auction groove back. Ok, too much. I know.

In addition, it looks like the House of Brown has a packed schedule this weekend of birthday parties for 3 and under. Not my favorite thing to do, but I’ll enjoy the moments because our boys are growing up so fast.

And with weeks passing as fast as this one, our little princess will be here before we know it. This will be another reason to cherish family time and weekends we get to spend together.

I’ve got quite a day before me today. I’ll bid, or at least set proxy bids, on a few domain auctions today in between meetings and real work.

I’m amazed at how fast this year is already passing us by. Before you know it, we’ll have the first quarter under our belts and onto the second.

In other news, DomainNameWire.com reported that Michael Berkens has resigned from the Right of the Dot, LLC. If you remember, he had recently sold a majority of his domain name portfolio for an unofficial 8-figure sum to GoDaddy. Personally, this looks like a step closer to a much deserved retirement.

Most brick and mortar businesses often do not make it to their 3rd birthday. Why?

Okay, so it’s no secret that domain names are critical to business today and have been for the last 20 and counting years. When precisely selected, a domain name can reduce the marketing spend and sometimes eliminate it altogether.

It’s the first hump day of March, and what a list of domain auctions I have for you today. Before we get to the domain auctions, I want to share a few things.

First, if you haven’t heard, there’s a new sheriff in town when it comes to Domaining news. I know most of us check Domaining.com on a daily.

February is in the books and March Madness is here for both domains and basketball! I had a decent February, but would have liked to won a few more domain auctions than I did. I’m actually awaiting the Heritage Auction that will occur in April. I know, I know. I must take it one day at a time and get through March before we get to April.

In other news, I can’t wait until the time change happens later this month, March 27th to be exact and that’s Easter too. I’m anticipating the change because the days are a bit longer with more sunlight for me to do landscaping work and allow my boys to play. Then, it moves us closer and closer to the month of July when we go from a family of four to five. An exciting spring is ahead of us on many fronts.

Well, it’s the 29th of February.  We don’t see this date but every four years.  I actually have a friend who’s birthday falls on this date.  He’s officially 8 years old today (actually 32 years old).  A talented tech professional he is and quite the micro brewer too.

In other news, looks like a new domaining industry news website is coming March 1st: DomainSignals.com.  I’m not certain what the layout and format of the website will be, but it looks promising.  We’ll have to wait and see, but do go sign up to receive updates.

Last night was the first night of our Marriage Retreat at our church and it was GREAT!  We covered and discussed great content to safe guard and improve our growing marriages, and then danced the night away.

And as always, it was a joy to spend time with my wife.  I can’t imagine how we’ll top last night, but I can’t wait to see and experience…
