Domain Auctions Ending 3/1/2016
February is in the books and March Madness is here for both domains and basketball! I had a decent February, but would have liked to won a few more domain auctions than I did. I’m actually awaiting the Heritage Auction that will occur in April. I know, I know. I must take it one day at a time and get through March before we get to April.
In other news, I can’t wait until the time change happens later this month, March 27th to be exact and that’s Easter too. I’m anticipating the change because the days are a bit longer with more sunlight for me to do landscaping work and allow my boys to play. Then, it moves us closer and closer to the month of July when we go from a family of four to five. An exciting spring is ahead of us on many fronts.
As most people get ready for the spring cleaning of their houses and garages, I’ve started a “digital” spring cleaning and removing the following types of domain names from my domain portfolio with the following combinations:
- Ones that are older than 1 years of age but less than 5 years of age
- Ones that have not received inquiries
- Ones that have no ppc earnings
- Ones that have not been sold in two rounds of GoDaddy domain auctions
- Ones that have little to no type-in traffic
As I sell, delete or not renew certain domains, I’m re-investing in higher quality names in the $150 – $500 range. I’ll let you know how it works out for me here in a few weeks or months.

Whitened.com – Not certain why this domain sticks out other than making me think of whiteout and whitened teeth. 15 years old with 1 bid at the time of writing.
WorkingGirl.com – Another alias for a Sugar Mommy, if she’ll have you. Nothing wrong with a woman that loves to make her own money. 18 years old.
ChocolatePartyFavors.com – I like party favors as a domain for sure, yet adding chocolate to the party is the favor the doctor ordered. 15 years old with NO bids.
CordlessTelephone.com – Come to think of it, I’ve not had a landline or cordless phone in my possession in the last 10-15 years. WOW, times have changed. 17 years old with 12 bids.
PugWear.com – A doggy or doggie wear site strictly for Pugs. 17 years old with 1 bid.
RealtyTechnology.com – Offering tech to real estate agents or firms. Could sell software and hardware for real estate agents to do their job more efficiently. Enter drones with real estate-centric aerial video and snapshot software. 19 years old with 1 bid.
CheapTeaPots.com – Is a kettle or a pot? Either way, only cheap ones can pass on this domain (literally and figuratively). 😉 15 years old.
WaterbedSupplies.com – My parents had one in mid 80’s, and that’s where it needs to remain. Who knows, the waterbed might just make a comeback. I wouldn’t hold your breath though. 16 years old.
SensorSafety.com – As many sensors that are deployed throughout the world, someone or some company could make profitable use of this 16 year old domain, one would think.
