I’m back with another tutorial today that builds on a previous tutorial that instructs you how to go about changing and customizing the default WordPress logo displayed on the WordPress login page.
Although I throughly discussed and provided code examples and plugin, I forgot to mention one additional aspect not discovered until I had a customer click my customized logo only to be redirected to WordPress.org. DOH!
Much like we did to replace the default WordPress logo tutorial, modify functions.php file located with within your WordPress themes folder, which is often the /wp-content/themes/name-of-theme directory (i.e. “name-of-theme” is actual name of your active theme).
Open functions.php file and add the following code to the very bottom of the file. Don’t forget to replace the URL in the return function with one of your own.
Copy and Paste Code for Custom WordPress Login Logo Link
And believe it or not, that’s all you need to do to replace the default logo link on the WordPress login page.
In addition, I’ve provided a quick and easy to follow video instructing you through each step when modifying the functions.php file.
Certainly don’t hesitate to leave me comments or questions. That’s all for now!
