I’m back with another tutorial today that builds on a previous tutorial that instructs you how to change and customize the default WordPress logo displayed on the WordPress login page.

Although I thoroughly discussed and provided code examples and plugins, I forgot to mention one additional aspect not discovered until a customer clicks my customized logo, only to be redirected to WordPress.org. DOH!

Much like we did to replace the default WordPress logo tutorial, modify the functions.php file located within your WordPress themes folder, which is often the /wp-content/themes/name-of-theme directory (i.e., “name-of-theme” is the actual name of your active theme).

Open the functions.php file and add the following code to the very bottom of the file. Don’t forget to replace the URL in the return function with one of your own.

Custom WordPress Login Logo Link

Copy and Paste Code for Custom WordPress Login Logo Link.

And believe it or not, that’s all you need to do to replace the default logo link on the WordPress login page.

In addition, I’ve provided a quick and easy-to-follow video instructing you through each step when modifying the functions.php file.

Certainly, don’t hesitate to leave me comments or questions. That’s all for now!
