It’s not everyday I stumble upon a business or personal brand actively growing their business through the use of new top-level domains (new gTLDs).
When I do, I find most business or personal brands are simply experimenting with such domains with no sign of commitment or results.
However, I recently stumbled upon a LinkedIn post containing a video promoting an Energy Management Consultancy based here in Austin, Texas.
I was pleasantly surprised to discover this company — LIT, LLC — combines the spheres of holistic energy management and life missions to realize sustainable solutions, savings, and change to the most vulnerable parts of the globe.
I was more excited when recently afforded the opportunity to connect in a recent sit-down interview with the Founder of LIT, LLC, Colby May.
Colby’s story of how merging marketplace and spiritual spheres has introduced greater purpose in his life is awe inspiring.
We discuss about his professional and personal experience, while also diving deep to discuss the details of why he chose the path of launching a .church digital presence to reach and serve a niche target audience: churches.
What’s most intriguing about the interview is how Lit.Church is the catalyst to the intersecting of energy management and religious organizations realizing the redistribution of energy savings into meaningful missions to realize social awareness and change.
Last but not least, we refer to a book from time to time during the interview that provides everyone with firsthand knowledge of how to conduct an energy management audit and take the next step to realize savings — regardless of whether a business, home, church, etc.

And should you not have time to sit and watch our quick interview, then by all means take the show on the road by tuning into the podcast.
So, press play and listen as Colby and I discuss and share thoughts about how to cleverly execute a new gTLD strategy to reach and serve more customers. Thanks and that’s all for now!
