Sprees, Trends, and Monetization with Braden Pollock

Domaining in 2021 is shaping up to be a stellar year, in comparison to 2020, as we approach the halfway mark.

Per Rick Schwartz, in 2020, there was $5.27M in domain sales reported on the top 10 list. Only 5 months into 2021, and there is $11.12MM in reported sales.

Schwartz goes on to report that the top 20 for all of 2020 was a total of $7.3MM compared to $14.69 million in the first 5 months of 2021 — and this doesn’t include all of the NDA or non-reported sales.

Recently, Braden Pollock and I sat down once more (listen to Braden’s first episode) to discuss his rocketship into buying one-word .com domains over the last 6 to 9 months.

Braden shares not only what he looks for and at what price range he’s buying most of his investments, but Braden shares why he’s bullish on one-word .com domains in 2021.

I also uncover Braden dabbling in the land of cctlds and we talk brandable and geo service domain buying and selling strategies.

In addition, we talk 2021 and 2022 domaining trends and insights that investors should consider.

Lastly, Braden and I discuss how Clubhouse is impacting the domain industry — the good, the bad, and ugly. Braden also schools me on the evolution of Clubhouse and how it’s growing the domain industry, opening the door to new monetization strategies.

This episode is jam-packed with stories — success and failure, insight, and a few domain strategy nuggets you might not have ever heard of before.

Tune in and listen to one of the best in the business, Braden Pollock. Enjoy!
