🎉 GoDaddy Rolls Back Emoji Pricing

Once again, I’m up early and starting my day. I typically don’t post on Sundays, but encountered an interesting thing to note in regards to emoji domains.

At the beginning of this month, I reported that GoDaddy increased their .ws emoji domain pricing.

I wish I had the inside scoop on why this happened and how it impacted emoji domain registrations in single and bulk purchases.

I was quite surprised with the 100% increase, but even more surprised (and elated) today when I encountered emoji domain pricing is back at $4.99.

I figured this out as I went to run a few routine availability checks as you can see below when checking availability of the 🚗♣️.ws (car club) emoji domain (it’s still available).

Yes, those $4.99 days are back my friends. If you didn’t purchase an emoji domain the first time around, then here is your second lease on buying emoji domains.

I don’t know how long pricing will remain at $4.99 or any of the other details that lead up to this rollback.

This pricing rollback is likely to win quite a few emoji domain purchases, single and bulk. Or will it?
