Domain Auctions Ending 6/29/2016
Quick Summary of Contents
It’s the top of the morning, and time for another day of expiring domain auctions.
I’ve got a busy day filled with meetings and prepping as we are almost 1 week away from baby girl arriving.
That said, I can’t promise you that I won’t miss a daily list from July 8th-15th, or longer.
Just know that if I do, then it’s because I’m wrapped up with attending to my gorgeously beautiful wife, our baby girl, and our boys.
It’s actually a nice little break for us as a family right smack dab in the middle of the year.
In other news, things have been rather quiet outside of the two geo service domain inquiries I’ve received and responded too, both expiring July 8th. It’s a game of sitting and waiting now.
However, I may strike up an outbound campaign for a few developed websites (undecided currently).
Outside of that, I’m prepping to review my portfolio renewals for July, deciding which domains to keep and which ones to let the deletion shoe drop on.
Last month, I let 2 new gtlds (.properties) expire that were local to the greater Austin area.
My rule was that I would let them expire I couldn’t flip them in 12 months time. 12 months came and went, and no success.
Plus, the renewal fee is not worth it. I think there will be more and more gTLDs to drop because of renewal fee and low activity to accept and use new gTLDs.
This is not to say that new gTLDs are not being used, because they are. What I’m saying is that new gTLDs are in their infancy and yet to gain traction by the masses (not to say that they won’t some years into the future), especially the everyday business owner.
