Domain Auctions Ending 12/29/2015
I expected this week to be somewhat quiet with Christmas now a thought of the past. Things have been quiet on a personal front although it’s been a week of weather woes for those of us living in Texas, primarily West and North Texas areas.
Here in Austin, I found myself pelted the other night by hail that came out of nowhere as I was trying to figure out why my tire wasn’t keeping air in it. Good ole’ Texas weather for ya.
I never figured the exact cause of loss air in the tire, so I took it to the professionals at DiscountTire.com. And guess what? They couldn’t figure it out either. Oh well, I had them rotate and replace the valve stems. We’ll see how this holds up for now.
In domaining news, the short 3, 4, 5, and now 6 character .com domains keep racking in more sales. I’m still baffled by all of this market entry and shift. I just wonder how long this can continue, yet remain profitable.
I’ve participated and won a few domains, making sure to not get into any $5 and $10 bidding wars for expired domain auctions. I’ve been quite happy with my selection, and even more surprised by the inquiries that are rolling in as they now transfer to my account.

UrbanWoodworks.com – 11 years old. A decent domain for the majestic woodworker living in an urban area or creating urban works out of wood like no other. 1 bid at $12.
SecureFrontier.com – 16 year old domain. I think it makes for a great brandable domain for a security product or service. 1 bid at $12.
FashionAddicts.com – Not as old as the previous two at 4 years of age. But I think it’s a good deal as compared to the singular version. 1 bid at $12.
BiblicalCompass.com – While others use the Bible as a bludgeoning tool to get others to do what they desire, there are others who find it to be a compass to live their lives by. It’s bidding at $10 with 1 bidder.
AEStorage.com – You’ll have to do some searching on this domain. I like because it’s abbreviated with “AE”, 7 years old, bidding at $10 with 1 bid and the “AE” could stand for anything.
CoOpLaw.com – 18 year old domain bidding at $53 with 11 bids. This domain will for sure go for way more with it being a short .com that has the word law in it. We’ll see soon enough.
SonicEdge.com – Not too convinced by this 10-year domain although I do like the sound of it. Currently 1 bid at $10.
HolySmoker.com – 11 years old with 1 bid at $10. Sounds like a decent bbq business domain, or even a website that sells smokers that are holy.
WatchHunter.com – I guess you could blog about exquisite watches found throughout the world, or the next latest and greatest watch find coming to the market. 14 years old with 1 bid at $12.
SwimFans.com – You’re either a fan of swimming and swimming clubs, or you’re not. Or maybe you sell fans for swimming pools. I doubt the latter. 10 years old with 1 bid @ $12.
HauteWood.com – Looks to be like there is a Hautewood Atelier Furnishings with no domain based in Wichita Falls, Texas. Bid at your own UDRP risk. 2 year old domain with 2 bids at $17. This will be an interesting one to watch for sure.
HumorShack.com – The name says it all for this 17 year old domain. I look for this domain to take flight towards $1000 for sure.
WhiteRussian.com – 14 years old and sure to fly past $1000 with ease. This will be another interesting auction to watch.
HouseOfTools.com – Could be a great website showing how to use an assortment of tools, or even a platform for buying rare and hard to find tools as with the .net. Who knows as the sky is the limit with this domain.
LaptopBattery.net – Not sure why, but it caught my eye. 16 years old and a decent .net domain to operate a laptop batteries website.
