Domain Auctions Ending 1/15/2016

It’s Friday!  It’s Friday!  And there is much work to be done this day.  I’m expecting domaining interviews to spike with NamesCon overviews, domain sales tips, and domain closed deals.

As I mentioned yesterday, NamesCon 2016 held a live auction for 130 domains (approximately 450 domains in total), and sold roughly $1.5 million in sales.

Because all of the domains could not be presented in live auction, an extended auction via NameJet will host auctions for approximately 340 domains.  This silent auction, as it is sometimes referred too, will end January 21, 2016, and you can find more information on NameJet.

Domain Auctions Ending 1/14/2016

What a list of expiring domains that has been assembled today.  It’s a bit longer than I even thought it would be, but I couldn’t leave one domain off.  I’m covering the domain gamut with the exception of new domain extensions: .com, .net, .org, .cc, .co.

In other news, the Namescon 2016 Extended Auction is underway.  Check the previous link for the list of domains in extended auction.  You’ll only have a little over 6 days remaining to bid in this silent auction.

If you didn’t know, the Namescon live auction was reportedly to have sold approximately $1.5 million.  That’s not bad at all for a live auction.

Domain Auctions Ending 1/13/2016

Somehow we’re back to the middle of the week, and I’m glad about it.  Wednesday has come quick, and that’s a good thing.

It’s the final day of Namescon, and I’ve been trying to catch every live feed where possible.  I’ve not followed up with the happenings of the day for Tuesday, but might get a few moments to do so today.

What I do know is that Escrow.com is scheduled to release a newly branded website.  They’re not the only ones who have chosen to update their website and reveal it at Namescon.  It seems like this has been the year for updated look and feel, and a more streamlined user experience for domain service providers.

As Namescon 2016 comes to an end and things get back to normal, I wish everyone there safe travel back home until the next time we meet.  I’m going for sure next year, and don’t plan on missing another.  So, what’s next after Namescon?

Domain Auctions Ending 1/12/2016

I had a chance to view a live stream of Frank Schilling’s 2016 Keynote at Namescon.  Heck, Uniregistry even launched a newly branded website during Frank’s keynote.  Talk about daring.

Then, Frank upped the ante by demoing the Uniregistry phone app.  The app did work although it wasn’t without latency issues awaiting for domains that were pushed from one account to another.

Nevertheless, the live feeds offer by Namescon (a BIG thank for those of us who couldn’t make it!) made me kick myself at why I didn’t buy my tickets, airplane tickets and hotel room.  Oh well, I’ll be there for sure in 2017.

I have to be honest and say that I’ve been able to snag a few good names without inflated bid pricing or anyone sniping me within the last 10 minutes of auction.  I know it’ll be pure war next week as everyone gets back into the swing of things after the conference.  For now, I’ll enjoy this time while I have it.  Oh well, onto the domains.

Domain Auctions Ending 1/11/2016

It’s Monday again, and I’m certain that EVERYONE is back at work.  I’ll do a bit of travel this week, which should make for a quick week.

Now that I think about the opening sentence, not everyone is at work.  There are a few hundred persons in Las Vegas having the time of their life at Namescon.com.  Today is the third day of the conference, and it’ll be a big day with Right of the Dot’s Domain Name Auction.

To keep up with all Namescon updates and domaining in general, you’ll want to pay close attention to Domaining and DNJournal, as well as social media. That’s about it for this week.

Domain Auctions Ending 1/9/2016

It’s early, and it’s Saturday.  Why are we up?  Because the early bird gets the worm, or in this case, the expired domain.

I’ve had a great week although it’s been a tough one in the auctions.  Specifically, there was a clawback or a domain renewal reverse with a domain I won: CloudWorkstation.com.  It went something like this…

6 questions to ask when creating website content

January 8, 2016 No Comments
Written by: Alvin Brown

I’m often questioned about what steps and process to take to rank website content in a search-safe manner.

Most of the time, the question is based around how long should it take for a page or website content to rank in search results.

Often times it’s about how many times a keyword or keyword phrase should be used (i.e., keyword density). While other times it’s about how many internal and external links a page should contain.

Well today, I’m sharing 6 valuable questions to ask when creating epic website content.
