Quick Summary of Contents
It’s a bright and early Saturday morning here in Austin.
I have no plans today other than to complete a few more video tutorials, and spend time with my wife and baby girl while the boys are out of town until tomorrow.
There’s nothing like getting Saturday started with breakfast tacos and meeting with a few officers from the Austin Police Department.
No, I’m not in trouble with the law, and I prefer to keep it that way.
Myself and other men from our church, Mosaic Church Austin, meet monthly with officers to thank them for their service while engaging in constructive conversations for helping our immediate neighborhoods and greater Austin metro region get to know one another.
I’ve always been for knowing the offices that police our neighborhoods. It’s much easier to know the officer and the office know you before an event, than after.
I encourage you to do the same. Get to know the person behind the badge and 30 pounds of gear, and allow them to get to know you.
And the next officer you see, thank them for their service to honor the oath in protecting and serving the community.
