Keto Steals the Show: Top Verisign’s Trending Keywords Report for January
Yup, it’s the second week of the month and you know what time it is, right? That’s right! It’s time for Verisign’s Top Trending Keywords Report.
Moments ago, Verisign published to its blog January’s trending keywords registered for .com and .net domains.
This month’s list of keywords is interesting, to say the least. None of these keywords — keto, crew, property, and designs — have anything in common at first glance.
Out of all the keywords in both .com and .net listings, keto is the only keyword listed in both columns. As you can see in the image below, Google Trends displays keto as highly trending, especially in the last 2 years and counting.
Of course, I took it a step further to combine keto with the remaining list of keywords to discover which domains were registered and available for purchase.
Below is what I discovered (* denotes domains available for purchase at the time of publication):

- ketocrew.com
- ketodesigns.com
- ketotrial.com
- ketocustody.com*
- ketolegal.com
- ketoplumbing.com*
- ketofilm.com
- ketosets.com*
- ketogarage.com*

- ketocheap.com
- ketowifi.com*
- ketolike.com
- ketolens.com*
- ketotruck.com
Honestly, I was surprised to discover 8 out of the 18 (44%) domains containing keto as a keyword at the beginning were registered domains.
Who would register ketolegal.com, ketolike.com, and ketodesigns.com?
