Emoji Domain Investors Register New Unicode Emoji v11.

It’s certainly a good Thursday and making for a GREAT Friday should you be one of the many emoji domain investors that now own one or more of the new .WS emoji domains.

Early today, I reported that the .WS registry would be releasing the long-awaited .WS emoji domains for the newly released Unicode Emoji v11.

Today’s release brings 161 new possible single emoji domains that could be registered. Out of the 161, emoji domain investors didn’t waste any time purchasing and staking their claim.

At the time of release (March 1st, 19:00:00 UTC), I was in a meeting that was supposed to last only 15 minutes that stretched into a 1.5-hour meeting.

Nevertheless, the meeting ended, and I cracked open a browser to see which emoji domains remained, if any. Fortunately, I was able to stake claim to the firecracker and fire extinguisher .WS emoji domains.

In addition, I checked the emoji domain availability of the entire Unicode Emoji v11 list via Website.ws, and found the following emoji domains to be available at the time of this writing:

  • test tube
  • petri dish
  • nazur amlet
  • leafy green
  • salt
  • microbe

I also visited and checked Register.to for new emoji domains. It appears most of the newly released emoji have also been registered as .TO emoji domains.

Suppose you aim to stake your claim to the emoji domains above in .WS or TO extensions, then you better get moving!

Note that you’ll need to take the Unicode code points of the emoji and convert them to Punycode. Take and append “xn--“ to the Punycode, and then append the appropriate extension.

Also, there are a number of tools online that should be able to assist you with this effort. Emojipedia, EmojiCopy.com, and GetEmoji.com should have renderings of newly released emoji.

In closing, as always, please perform your due diligence to limit risk, yet increase the likelihood of realizing a sound domain investment and ROI.

Good luck, and let me know if you are able to snag one or more of the Unicode Emoji v11 emoji domains. That’s all for now!
