Yup, you know what time it is, right? That’s right! It’s time for Verisign’s Top Trending Keywords Report.

Today, I’ve compiled May’s trending keywords registered for .com and .net domains.

It goes without saying, COVID-19 has forever impacted our lives, the way we live, how we live. — continuing to snuff out lives by the minute across the globe.

This month’s top 3 keywords — shop, online, and home — are at the top of the list, having shifted and exchanges positions from the previous month.

Overall, not much has changed in the list with the exception of losing “covid” as a keyword.

While many businesses are re-opening their doors to the public, a many businesses — small, medium, large, and everything in between — are wrestling with shutting physical locations while ramping up their online presence and logistics.

In fact, Starbucks announced it was shutting down nearly 400 stores in the US, including 200 in Canada.

We’ll see how this list of keywords continues to trend in the coming months as businesses re-open and adjust, and COVID-19 cases, infections, and deaths appear to be on the rise.
