Domain Auctions Ending 2/23/2016

It’s Tuesday and I’ve got a busy day of meetings before me.

I’ve put together what I believe to be a decent list of domain auctions today in all categories.  There are a few domains that could offer existing businesses a substantial upgrade.  You win it for pennies on the dollar and turn a quick profit.  Good luck.

In other news, Minds + Machines has fired CEO Antony Van Courvering.  Seems like a bit of a Steve Jobs like ouster by the investors.  Did Antony have this coming all along?

Antony wrote a very interesting article, expressing his viewpoint about the ouster at a high level while also painting an interesting portrait of the new gtlds or new domain extensions market.

In short, Antony’s article paints a bleak picture for those registries relaying solely on new gtlds, seeing the new gtlds are on 5% of the domain market currently.  It’s not to say that the new gtlds won’t be successful.  I think he hints at the fact that it may take longer than expected for the new gtlds to take off because of a various issues today.

Antony states that it’ll be a must for registries to have cash and a vision to weather the storm until new gtlds are mainstream and profitable.  And for those that can’t weather the storm, expect them to be acquired or go bankrupt.  It’s a good reminder of the shake up we’ll live and witness up close and personal with this second land grab of virtual real estate.

Again, it’s  interesting article.  In addition, you may also want to read Konstantinos’ article, 5 reasons why antony van couvering was fired from minds + machines.

That’s all the news for today.  Now onto domain auctions.  As usual, click the domains to view their respective auction data.  Also, don’t forget to check the promo codes page for hosting and domain savings.
