Friday’s Bag Ole’ Domains 2/5/2016

February 5, 2016 No Comments
Written by: Alvin Brown

As usual, the domains below are in their closeout or buy now price, and likely to drop catch or deleted should they not be purchased.

Although I don’t provide much commentary on the domains selected for Friday’s Bag Ole’ Domains, the names I select are based on being good domains to brand as your business or simply a business-in-a-box type of a domain.

The selected domains only have hours to be purchased in some cases, so don’t think you’ll be able to wait forever and a day to purchase.

Oh yeah, I’ve added a few domains that are capable of being hand-registered too (look for asterisk next to domain).

Woohoo, it’s FRIDAY, and I’m glad about it.

Professionally, I’ve had a trying week of ups and downs when it comes to winning deals.  I’ve won some and lost some.

Heck, personally, I think I may have even lost a friend that chose money over our friendship.  But hey, that happens sometimes.  My mother always told me, “One can never lose a friend that one never had.” Enough of that talk.  Let’s get down to business.

Well, it’s another day and another set of domain auctions ending today.  Personally, I’ve had a good week and I’m very excited today.  Why?

Well, today’s a special day because it’s my best friend’s birthday.  To my buddy from way back when, brother our journey has been fun and I look forward to many more years and birthday celebration.  As each and every year passes, I’m more grateful for friends, birthdays, celebrations and life in general.

groundhog dayApparently, Punxsutawney Phil didn’t see his shadow and has issued an early spring notice.  You know, Phil has a real tough job that only comes around once a year.  Now that’s a sweet gig, if you ask me.

With spring coming, my hope is that more lucrative domain sales, auctions and deals will happen since warmer weather tends to be a positive driver for the masses.

And the Groundhog says what today?  I guess we’ll see what Phil has to say about our weather here in a few hours.  I’m hoping that we receive an early Spring here in Texas and don’t have to endure any more cold weather until late in 2016.  That’s my wish although I know we could use a good freeze or two to kill all of the insects.

In other new, it’s my grandmother’s 84th birthday, and what a blessing it is for her to be in sound mind, body and spirit.  Happy Birthday Grandma!

In the latest domaining news, there is a great post on NamePros about whether or not you should buy 6N.com domains.  It’s a great read for those of your trying to keep up with the minute-by-minute domain trends surrounding the substantial growth in numeric domain ownership.

Domain Auctions Ending 2/1/2016

Well, 1 out of 12 months done, and we begin the second.  Good ole’ February.  The month of love and Black History month. I hope your January was as productive and rewarding as mine.

Picking up from where I left off, I did manage to get the carburetor removed and installed on my 1977 Caprice Classic.  She’s back to running, but I’m going to have to tweak the running idle, and the air/gas mixture.

As for the ole’ pickup, I’m thinking I’ll just have the engine rebuilt.  It was previously owned by a guy that used it as a farm truck to pull horses.  Unfortunately, it wasn’t well kept, which is why I’m having to replace this and that part on it every other month, if not every single month.  I’ve got some work and decisions before me, that’s for sure.

Domain Auctions Ending 1/30/2016

I thought I was having a decent week coming of an okay staycation, and having only a two day workweek.

All was going well until around lunch yesterday. I walked out to go and meet and friend to find a screw in my 1985 chevy pickup’s tire (which is still there right now as I type). Fortunately, the tire had not lost air.

However, the bad news was that I forgot to put wheel lock back in the glove compartment of the pickup, or so I thought that was the bad news.
