Seems like domain auctions are now the breeding ground for high stake bidding on 3 and 4 character domain names.  To see such domains with 3 and 4 figure pricing days before their auction, it’s quite amazing.

I’m left wondering how long will this run last.  Is it a short term run or can we expect to see this type of activity for next 12 months?  I think this is only the beginning and other markets beside China will jump in, taking the industry  beyond the moon in domain pricing.  Only time will tell.  I own a handful of 3 and 4 character .com domains, and all are receiving quite a bit of daily inquiry traffic.  So much so that I’m ignoring inquiries that are below $2K in value.

In addition, I’ve been attempting to secure a few 5 and 6 digit .com domain names in recent auctions.  I’ve included a few numeric domains in today’s auction list.
