In-person conferences (yeah, remember that pre-COVID) can sometimes feel like hundreds or thousands of people descending upon a single space with a common cause, yet as different as the East is from the West.

What a difference 12 months can make when considering relationships. One minute you casually pass by a stranger, and neither one of you ever give one another a second thought.

Then with a simple introduction, a meal, a phone call, or an email exchange, you soon forget about what life was like before you both entered into one another’s story and life journey.

Little did I realize at the moment, but that’s how I met today’s podcast guest, Jason Sheppard. We both attended NamesCon’s 2020 in-person conference held in Austin, Texas. Of course, Austin is home for me, while Jason visited and attended his first NamesCon in person.
