Domain Auctions Ending 6/22/2016
Quick Summary of Contents
It’s hump day and I’m glad about it!
This week has flown by. Time is passing and the clock is counting down until our princess arrives and boy #2 turns 2.
Lord willing, it’s likely boy #2 and his sister will have birthdays a day a part should she not come early. I wouldn’t mind baby girl arriving July 1st or 4th to be honest. But only the good Lord knows the time, place, and day. And I’m okay with that.
In other news, I launched another small web project. It’s more like a hobby website for me to help others learn about htaccess. I know I just lost a few of you, so I’ll stop there.
Should this project take off (it’s likely), I’ll be sure to update you all. Even if it doesn’t, it’ll be a great tool for my DIY SEO customers.
As for domains, I’ve been doing a bit of “domain spring cleaning”, letting domains expire that don’t have traffic or inquiries in the last 3 years.
It’s always hard to uncheck the auto renew box when you once had so many dreams for a domain to flip or develop. But truth be told, it’s better to let go of 20+ and invest the ~$175 in one domain with greater upside.
In this case, some of the domains I’m not auto renewing had a quick shelf life and are no longer relevant. And I kick myself because I should have taken the lower offers when I had the chance.
I wasn’t looking for the home run or grand slam deal, but I had my eyes set on the triple instead of accepting the single.
Oh well, lessons learned for the next investment, right?
