It’s Friday and I’ve already kicked it off with Friday’s Bag Ole’ Domains.
In other news, what a night of storms we had throughout and across the Central Texas region.
In fact, I’m grateful that I made a day trip to Houston when I did this week.
Had I been a day late, then I would have found myself trapped by floodwaters, if not submerged in flood waters.
I hope today is a productive day as we head into the holiday weekend.
Although there are likely many that are rejoicing in the fact that there is no work on Monday, let us not forget those valiant men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military.
For it was their courageousness to honor their commitment to serve and protect our country to the point of death, that we have freedom to live in one of the greatest countries that ever existed.
Yes, there will be cookouts and parties. Yes, there will be family and friends. Yes, there is no work. But let us not forget to honor those who honored us by losing their life.
The next U.S. Military personnel you see, stop, shake their hand and thank them for their service.
