United States of America Flag Domain

Wanna Play Capture the Flag with Emoji Domains?

It’s hard to believe nearly 6 months has passed since uncovering the United States of America flag emoji (🇺🇸) could no longer be registered via .WS emoji domains.

Since that time, a few ccTLD’s, specifically .to and .ai, have thrown their hats in the ring, allowing emoji domain registrations containing the USA flag.

As it pertains to .ws emoji domains and the USA flag, there are a few grateful holders (including myself) of emoji domains containing the USA flag before the restriction was put in place.

But for persons unable to stake their emoji claim in capturing an emoji domain containing a flag the first time around, then you might want to pay close attention to what I’m about to share.

In the last week or so, nearly 1,200 .ws emoji domains have hit the expiring auction block over at GoDaddy.

And now, NameJet just threw it’s hat in the emoji domain auction ring too.

No big deal, right? I mean domains expire daily, so what’s all the hoopla about?

As it pertains to .ws emoji domains and the USA flag, this might be your one opportunity to affordably to stake your claim to expiring .ws domains containing the USA flag.

Not a complete list, the following emoji domains listed below were found to be in buy-it-now/closeout status over at GoDaddy at the time of this writing:

Not only are there .ws emoji domains containing the USA flag, but there are quite a few .ws emoji domains containing other country flags.

For instance, the Liberia flag (🇱🇷.ws), commonly confused with the USA flag, is in buy-it-now and closeout auction right at this very moment.

A growing number of single, double, triple, and combo emoji domains containing flags available in expiring auction too.

The following list contains a few I single flag emoji domains I encountered via GoDaddy’s Aftermarket:

Remember, there are no guarantees about emoji domains and domains in general being home run investments

There are quite a few factors to consider that decrease or increase a domain’s risk and value, so keep that mind too.

It may or may NOT be worth your time and investment to scope out other emoji flags or emoji in general that could likely fall prey to a similar registration constraints and restrictions. Again, DO YOUR HOMEWORK!

In closing, emoji domains may turn the corner and prove to have been sound investments, yet only time will tell…
