Domain Auctions Ending 3/22/2016
Monday flew by like the blink of an eye. Well, Spring Break 2016 is over, SXSW has closed the books on its 30th year, and Austin traffic is back to normal: just horrible! 🙂
Speaking of traffic, I was on my way into the office and passed another company that “gets it”. I was unable to snap a picture of the freight line truck’s trailer door as I approached a light. To my surprise, this freight line company advertised a 4L .com domain on the back of it’s truck. The domain read ODFL.com. It’s good to see a company using a 4L .com domain, but what surprised me the most about this company is that they don’t their full name in the .com: OldDominionFreightLine.com.
In other domaining news, Domain Names Sales launched new sales pay-per-click landing pages. Aesthetically speaking, a designer’s eye would grade the page well, but from a user standpoint, not too many folks are happy to see the change, including DomainInvesting.com and Acro.net.
I’ve not used Domain Name Sales services for my portfolio. However, I like the old pages. Of course, change takes a bit to get accustomed too. We’ll look back on this conversation and wonder why we had mixed feelings in the first place.
Oh yes, one last domain spotting I stumbled across. I was driving home after a day’s work and happened to approach a car with an ad on the back windshield glass (image was the best angle I could get). Although I was surprised to see a .net address used, I was impressed with the phrase AdvertiseOnMyCar.net.

It’s easy to remember in my opinion, and what made this find even better is that the .com IS NOT developed. I’m certain that there’s a bit of traffic leakage to the .com, but you gotta do what you have to do when you can’t own the .com. The question that lingers in my mind is will this company invest in .auto and .car extensions as well as try to purchase the .com in the near or distant future. What do you think?
Enough talky talk for now. Let’s move onto today’s domain auctions. As usual, click domains to view their respective auction details and data.

Domain Auctions Ending Today
SameDaySurgery.com – Think the technical term is outpatient care, but I like the sound of this domain. Simple and easy to remember, in my opinion. 18 years old with NO bids.
VRBike.com – 13 years old and bidding like crazy! The only thing that comes to mind is Virtual Reality Bike. Thoughts??? Virtual Reality Exercise Bikes are also popular and one could consider VReBike.com* an VReBikes.com* as abbreviated domains.
AmarilloMedicalMassage.com – A bit long, but it gets the point. If this doesn’t work, then maybe AmarilloMedMassage.com* does the trick for you. 7 years old with NO bids.
DragRace.net – The .com is parked and not dragging a thing but ads and a new sales landing page courtesy of Uniregistry. 18 years old with 4 bids.
AuctionElf.com – Could brand strictly for holidays and just a year around brand for an auction boutique. 8 years old with NO bids.
PhoneMaster.com – 12 years old with 3 bids. A decent brand for a phone service, or a great name to brand an all-you-need-to-know about phones website.
CatfishSupplyCo.com – Could be an upgrade name for CatfishSupply.net. 14 years old with a $12 bid.
Wrathful.com – It’s a one word, that’s why. 16 years old and I’m certain bids will keep coming in.
NvStudios.com – Maybe short for Nevada Studios, or am I reaching too far for that? 15 years old with a $12 bid.
NeedASign.com – Nice phrase for a sign creation or printing company. It could also be a domain for a fortune teller, if you believe in such a thing. 16 years old with a $12 bid.
CookHour.com – Let’s get those pots and pans cooking up something good in or under 1 hour. Deal? 15 years old with NO bids.
CameraReady.com – Lights, camera, and action. That’s the society we live. One where you’re nothing more than a smartphone away from losing or gaining everything life has to offer. 20 years old and bidding into the high heavens.
DomainSearchBlog.com – I thought Domaining.com had this covered. I guess not… 8 years old and a $10 bid.
