Top Verisign’s Trending Keywords Report for March

It’s the second week of the month and you know what time it is, right?  That’s right!  It’s time for Verisign’s Top Trending Keywords Report.

Moments ago, Verisign published to its blog March’s trending keywords registered for .com and .net domains.

This month’s list of keywords is interesting, to say the least.  None of these keywords — chain, only, stadia, and over — have anything in common at first glance.

Out of all the keywords in both .com and .net listings, “stadia” is a popular keyword due to Google unveiling its cloud gaming service at the most recent Game Developers Conference.

Both “chain” and “blockchain” likely garnered domain registrations due to the steady, gradual increase in price over the last 30 days. As of April 1st, bitcoin took another leap to cross the $5K mark.

As for the remaining keywords — only and over — all are a bit of an enigma as to why they’re trending keywords during the month of March, as is each previous month.
