The Quicker You Learn, The Less You Burn — Arif Mirza

Oscar Wilde once stated, “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery that mediocrity can pay to greatness.”

When I personally think about this and use it as a lens to view the domain industry at large, I’ve never encountered a statement as fitting.

Domain investing has never truly been a sexy industry in my humble opinion. However, there are legends of old and the past, and living legends that breathe life into the art and science of buying and selling domains that awaken larger than life adrenaline rushes beyond one’s ability to imagine.

As a long-time domain investor and consultant at NameCult.com, host and producer of The Domain Social, and producer of Page Howe’s The Domain Show, Arif Mirza is well on his way to etching his name amongst the domain investing legends that have come before him.

In a recent podcast, Arif and I discuss how an early web development project targeting DJs paved the way to him becoming a domain investor and launching NameCult as a way for domain investors to level up.

We then discuss how Arif successfully leverages his interpersonal skills as a casino employee to negotiate to buy and sell domains. Arif then shares critical formulas and key indicators about managing his inbound-only domain portfolio into the black.

In addition, we talk about a wide range of topics — Clubhouse, Steamie the dog, Domain education and inspiration, The Domain Show, The Domain Social, and more.

Hit play and journey with Arif and me as we focus on helping domain investors discover the quicker you learn, the less money you burn. Enjoy!
