Geos, Gerunds, and Growth with the One and Only — Kate Buckley
What a milestone for every podcast to make it too, now including Kickstart.fm: Episode 100! 🎉
It’s been a great adventure thus far, and I can’t even imagine all the various interviews and stories that await the domain and business worlds.
With that out of the way, today’s milestone interview and the interviewee has roots that find deep origin from the Bluegrass State of Kentucky.
The Bluegrass State is famous for a number of things — breeding horses, tobacco farms, fine bourbon, and, of course, the Kentucky Derby.
While domain professionals hail from all over the globe, none are quite as special as today’s darling of domaining. And who might this darling of domaining be?
Well, I’m glad you asked. Known to some as a poet, rather Poet Laureate Emerita of Laguna Beach, California, and others as a classically trained artist, simply put, she needs no introduction other than Kate.
Writing, painting, teaching, coaching, branding — there’s not much that Kate Buckley is unable to achieve, especially when she sets her mind to it.
In fact, Kate and I recently sat down to discuss the many twists and turns along the way as she honed various skills developing, advertising, and monetizing geo domains, leading her to strike out on her own launching Buckley Media.
More importantly, Kate also shares in this interview why her domain name brokerage and branding boutique is renowned for its customized, strategic approach to consultative corporate domain services and signature relationship-building.
And while Kate schools us on how to determine a domain’s use case and evaluation, including her specialty gerund domains, we also find common ground discussing ladies of the night, dental implants, romance, and yoga pants — who knew!
Get ready to laugh, learn, and live a bit on the edge with the one and only, Kate. Buckley. Enjoy!
Another great interview! The one and only indeed. Thanks, Alvin.
And thank you for getting Kate to flesh out the concept of the Domain Story that much further than in any of the other interviews I’ve heard with Kate as interviewee.
Awesome, Mike. Glad you really enjoyed Kate’s interview. Thanks.
Wow! Loved this podcast with Kate, Alvin. So authentic and uplifting. Loved the line “kate could sell me water!” lol. So refreshing to know she also paints and writes like me. It’s true what you guys were discussing that we like to juggle many things at the same time. I feel it’s a lot to do with the thirst to learn everything we can put our hands on and a little about feeling bored easily.
Thanks, Anita. Your podcast is about to go live in 5-10 minutes. Enjoy!
