Yesterday was a long day for my wife, our youngest child, and I as we started our day early in Austin and arrived in Seattle mid afternoon PST to attend DNSeattle Meetup (later today).

It was great taking a short trip in from the airport and experiencing Seattle’s downtown skyline.

Seattle Downtown Skyline 2017

One of the first things I noticed off the plane was the WEATHER: everyday is beautiful! 😍  My goodness, if I could bottle up this 63 degree weather in exchange for Austin’s 🔥… I’d do it!

The only downside I’ve found early in our trip about Seattle is the one thing I loathe about Austin: TRAFFIC!  Because it’s surrounded by water and bays, Seattle’s traffic is right there with Austin.  But the beautiful views make up for sitting in bumper-to-bumper traffic throughout the day.

Nevertheless, we decided to AirBnB with the Bluebird Cottage.  It’s a great find and gem as opposed to the two arms and both legs we would have lost while living it up downtown hotel style.

It’s a great place to call “home” as we intermingle personal and business visits.

We have friends that live in the greater Seattle metro that we’ve not seen in years. I’m looking forward to spending time with them and making our rounds to see all that Seattle has to offer.

We must just hit up Tours Northwest, Space Needle, and take a trip over to Bainbridge Island should time permit.

As for business, I’ve had a good night’s rest, and I’m ready to attack the day and all it has to offer.

DNSeattle has been a long time coming for Mike Cyger (organizer) and me.  We’ve crossed paths professionally a number of times over the past 12 years but this will be the first time in one another’s physical presence.

Seattle Space NeedleIt’ll be a great experience to meet him and others although DNSeattle is only a scheduled 3-4 hour meetup.  We will have certainly spent more than 3-4 hours in travel time once it is all said and done.

Nevertheless, with 125 attendees scheduled to attend DNSeattle, I’m certain for all the trouble, hassle and miles traveled, the new found relationships and existing relationships will pay off in spades.

I’m ready to hear from Andrew Rosener, CEO and Lead Broker at MediaOptions.com, about his real-world experience and insight about being effective and efficient towards profitable domain investing.  It’ll be good to hear as well as pose questions to Andrew, Mike and other attendees.

Well, the clock is ticking and counting down until 6PM PST.  Until then, I’m off to see and experience all that Seattle has to offer with family and friends.

Follow me on Twitter and head over to DNSeattle.Live to watch the streaming portion of the Meetup.  Check back with you later…
