It has been said that a “picture is worth a thousands words”.

You don’t have to look to far these days to guarantee that statement.

And from the looks of it, it appears that we as a society are moving more and more towards pictures telling the stories of our lives.

Or maybe we’re coming full circle with the use of modernized pictures from our primitive years.

Nevertheless, we’re not talking about just any ole’ pictures.  We’re talking about EMOJIS! Emojis can do now wrong and are on at this very moment, being used by all walks of life.

They’re the 💣, and have hit the 🎰  for sure this year!

Don’t believe me?  Just ask Forbes…

Per Forbes, we send over 45 billion messages a day with over 6 billion emojis and stickers. Uh yeah…

Still don’t believe me? Then I invite you to go check your Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn accounts. Go ahead, I’ll wait.

From small kids to assisted living patrons, emojis have found their niche fulfilling the itch of dumbing down and removing language barriers.

But not so fast though. Just because we use emojis one way doesn’t imply that they mean what we think they mean or what Emojipedia claims either.

BRACE YOURSELF for what you’re about to read via a Huffington post article and a Jimmy Kimmel LIVE! video.

Knowing this much, you can only imagine how surprised I was to find out that emojis have landed their own tv show.

Conquering texting, social networks, billboards, search engines, buildings (YES, emojis on buildings too), domain names (Yes, emoji domains exist!), and soon to hit a theater near you in August, emojis are taking over the Game Show Network in June.

That’s right! Emogenius will kickoff your summer with a game where a picture could be worth thousands of dollars?

Or said using emojis: a  📸  is worth a 💰,💰💰💰. Sorry, couldn’t resist.

It’ll be hosted by Hunter MarchTake a quick look at their sneak peak and sign up for weekly Emogenius updates.

With so much talk about emojis, one has to wonder will emoji domains become a mainstream method of communication for companies and personal brands.

As other high profile individuals are using emoji domains, I’m personally and professionally using 👞💰 .ws via my Twitter and LinkedIn profiles.

It may be a bit early to tell, but I imagine others brands will silently join the party or make a big splash doing so.  The cool kids have long been at the party: Ray-Ban (🕶.ws), MAC Cosmetics (💄.ws), Honda (🚘.ws), Sony (😊🎬.ws), Angelist (✌️.com), and Budweiser (🍺🍺🍺.ws).

Will branded emojis be introduced some time in the near future?

I don’t know the answers or the powers-to-be in answering those questions.  What I do know is my eyes will be peeled watching every Emogenius episode with laptop and cell phone in hand ready to invest in emoji domains.
