Domain Development Hits and Misses with Peter Askew

If you were to peruse the list of domains owned by today’s guest, then you would likely conclude this individual is well on their way to becoming a “living legend” domain developer, if not already there in some aspects.

Having met today’s guest, Peter Askew, at Rick’s Asheville Meetup, he’s not short on life or domaining experience nor height, likely being one of the tallest, if not the tallest, domain investors and developers in the industry.

Peter combines impeccable timing with unique skill and talents in search marketing, digital strategy, and adept interpersonal skills to have developed and sold a number of niche online businesses.

And for all of the success he’s realized in profitable domain development, he’s also had his fair share of head-scratcher projects that were wildly successful on paper, yet duds when executed.

With a plethora of domain development efforts — job boards, dude ranches, crab claws, land surveying, key lime pies, tourism, onions, birthday parties, Peter’s winding journey in profitable domain investing and development is one that’s quite entertaining, yet insightful and thought-provoking.

Tune in as Peter and I discuss his domain development hits and misses, current domain development projects, and how he assesses whether or not a domain is worthy of development. Enjoy!
