Good morning!  It’s Friday and I have my work cut out for me on all fronts.

My wife enjoyed herself at the Hillsong Concert at the Cedar Park Center.  My time with the boys, 3 and almost 2, started off a bit rough as both threw wailing fits because they wanted to go with mommy.

Nevertheless, I enjoyed my time in the yard with them.  We watched Finding Nemo for the 800th time, yet it was like the boys had never seen the movie before.  It’s always a joy to hear them belly laugh.  It was a great way to spend Thursday night.

In other news, I’ve got a big surprise for you all today.  No, I’m not talking about Friday’s Bag Ole’ Domains, but do be on the lookout for it.  

It’s Thursday, It’s Thursday!  I don’t know if Thursday means anything special or not, but I’m happy it’s Thursday.

On a personal note, I GET to spend the evening with my boys while my wife is away enjoying herself at a Hillsong concert. I can’t wait to play and spend some valuable father and son time with the boys.  They’re growing up quite fast.  The days are long at times, but the years move by in the twinkling of an eye.  If you have kiddos, enjoy them through each and every stage of life. 😉

It’s the middle of the week and I’m glad about it!  I really don’t have a reason to be excited other than the fact that Friday is fast approaching.

One reason I like Fridays is because of Friday’s Bag Ole’ Domains.   If you’re not familiar with the happenings of Friday, then stick around and wait for Friday to get here.  

I started my Monday off by traveling to the bank only to figure out that it’s President’s Day and that the bank was closed.  So, the week has nowhere to go but up from this point.

The good thing is that the weather here in Austin is getting warmer, and the lake view is making it harder and harder to focus as the days pass.  It won’t be long and I’ll hear the youth splashing, playing and swimming around the lake.

Oh yeah, before I forget, DomainSherpa released a very insightful interview (~1.5 hours long) with Chris Ambler, GoDaddy Principal Engineer, discussing the domain name expiration process.  Mike and Chris discuss a number of items pertaining to domain backordering services and drop catch programming.  If you get a chance, take a listen.

Well, love is in the air, and the roses and chocolates are back to normal prices.

Here’s a thought that occurred to me.  I would rather spend the same amount and more spread throughout the year to show my love and appreciation for my beautiful wife.  Plus, her birthday is 2 days before so I do my best to make her feel special on her birthday.  I still get her a card for Valentine’s day, but nothing more.  Let’s move on…

As for domaining, I didn’t win a single auction this weekend.  I’m grateful for GoDaddy’s Investor App, but the only news it had for me was informing me I was outbid every 30 or so minutes.  I quit bidding after about the 10th or 11th domain auction loss.  Maybe I’ll have better luck this week with auctions.

Yet another bright and early Saturday morning.  So much to do and so little time to get it all done.   I’m helping a friend install laminate floors for a few hours, and then we have a birthday party today to attend for our oldest son’s friend.  And that’s it.

And before I forget, my wife’s birthday was a blessed and special event.  Thanks for the emails or direct messages sent.  Although our boys threw her an impromptu surprise birthday party at 4AM yesterday, she survived and pulled through.   She was up dark and early! 😀

Nevertheless, we had a special date night and dinner at her favorite restaurant.  Today, she’s off for a much needed and long awaited massage.

I’m not certain how these Fridays keep rolling around as fast as they do, but they are.  Yet this Friday is a bit different for the House of Brown as we celebrate my beautiful wife’s birthday and this weekend.

I can’t even put into words what my wife means to me.  I love her more than she’ll ever know.  She’s my wife, best friend, lover, and mother of our beautiful and fast growing family.  She’s sacrificed quite a lot to say the least to mother our boys and take on the thankless job of COO for the House of Brown.  Second to God, there’s not much that I can do without her.

So the boys and I will attempt to make a valiant effort to rough it this weekend, and give her a whole day to herself.  I’ll be fine, but I’m not sure about the boys.  Oh well, we’ll survive.
