Domain Auctions Ending 1/20/2016

Hump day it is, and another great day for bidding on domain auctions ending today.

Yesterday was a good auction bidding me for personally. I won a decent .com real estate domain that is the prime candidate for a company using the exact match .net. In addition, I managed to snipe a .net auto repair geo name for the Austin market.

I look forward to selling both domains, and should I not sale, then I’ll lease the type-in traffic from both.

If you’ve not attempted leasing traffic before, it’s definitely a great way to make money with a domain that you can’t flip fast or one that you’ll have to hold over time. But be careful because not all domains are good candidates for leasing their traffic.

It’s another terrific Tuesday, and I’m ready for a few good auctions today.  I’m not stating which domains I’ll bid on exactly.

I’m certain that when I tip my cards and share which domains I’ll bid on, I have at least 2-3 additional bidders upping the price on auctions I would normally win at a lesser price.  That said, I won’t be sharing today, but I do wish you luck on the domains you’ll bid on. 🙂

Martin Luther King, Jr. DayIt’s Monday, and most have a day off for those observing this day as a holiday.  This day is more than just a day off from work, but we as nation observe this day as Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Known affectionately as MLK, his effort and work lives on until the end of time. Not all of MLK’s thoughts, actions, words or deeds were on point or the best idea, but a few have greatly impacted the lives of many who lived in the King era and those of us who follow.

Oh the impact of having a dream…

Domain Auctions Ending 1/16/2016

It’s a bright and early Saturday morning in Austin, Texas, and another day to bid and capture expiring domains.

I plan on having a laid back and easy kind of a Saturday.  At least that’s what I’m allowing myself to believe.

Every time I proclaim such a thought, I’m quickly reminded by my wife that she and the boys have other plans for my time.  But I can’t complain, because life would be life without her, my boys and soon-to-arrive princess (July 2016)! 🙂

As for domain auctions… I’ve included a list of numeric .com domains, quite a few brandable .com domains, some 3L, 4L, and a mixed bag of short character domains across multiple extensions.  There’s quite a few that I might just bid on should time permit.

Domain Auctions Ending 1/15/2016

It’s Friday!  It’s Friday!  And there is much work to be done this day.  I’m expecting domaining interviews to spike with NamesCon overviews, domain sales tips, and domain closed deals.

As I mentioned yesterday, NamesCon 2016 held a live auction for 130 domains (approximately 450 domains in total), and sold roughly $1.5 million in sales.

Because all of the domains could not be presented in live auction, an extended auction via NameJet will host auctions for approximately 340 domains.  This silent auction, as it is sometimes referred too, will end January 21, 2016, and you can find more information on NameJet.

What a list of expiring domains that has been assembled today.  It’s a bit longer than I even thought it would be, but I couldn’t leave one domain off.  I’m covering the domain gamut with the exception of new domain extensions: .com, .net, .org, .cc, .co.

In other news, the Namescon 2016 Extended Auction is underway.  Check the previous link for the list of domains in extended auction.  You’ll only have a little over 6 days remaining to bid in this silent auction.

If you didn’t know, the Namescon live auction was reportedly to have sold approximately $1.5 million.  That’s not bad at all for a live auction.

Somehow we’re back to the middle of the week, and I’m glad about it.  Wednesday has come quick, and that’s a good thing.

It’s the final day of Namescon, and I’ve been trying to catch every live feed where possible.  I’ve not followed up with the happenings of the day for Tuesday, but might get a few moments to do so today.

What I do know is that Escrow.com is scheduled to release a newly branded website.  They’re not the only ones who have chosen to update their website and reveal it at Namescon.  It seems like this has been the year for updated look and feel, and a more streamlined user experience for domain service providers.

As Namescon 2016 comes to an end and things get back to normal, I wish everyone there safe travel back home until the next time we meet.  I’m going for sure next year, and don’t plan on missing another.  So, what’s next after Namescon?
