If you’re like 60% of the world’s population, then you are likely glued to a mobile device for a good part of your day.

In fact, you might be reading this very post via a mobile device.

Today, I’ll share with you a quick tutorial about how to register emoji domains using your mobile phone.

You’ve likely read about the latest craze to hit the domain industry: emoji domains.

If you haven’t heard, emoji now have their own game show (Emogenius) and their own movie to hit the big screen next month (The Emoji Movie).

Emoji are penetrating nearly every aspect of life, and now making their way into domain names.

If you’re like me, then read an article and were flooded with emoji domain ideas.

You likely opened your mobile device’s web browser and attempted to register emoji domains via your favorite domain name registrar’s website.

You typed in emoji using your native keyboard or copying and pasting from a website like GetEmoji.com (if desktop) only to find out you can’t register the desired emoji domain. Bummer, huh?

And more importantly, why is this the case you asked? Well, it’s because a special type of text should be entered when registering emoji domains: punycode.

Puny what? Yeah, Punycode. Go read about it.

In short, emoji domains (also known as Internationalized Domain Names) must be converted from UTF to ASCII. This conversion leaves you with punycode (i.e., emoji domain domain) starting with “xn—“ that is used to register your desired emoji domain.

See small white text in image below for an example.

Nevertheless, I’ve created a step-by-step video to help quickly get up to speed towards successfully registering emoji domains using your mobile device.

In the video, I also introduce you to a unique method to bulk search up to 500 domains to identify which domain extensions allow emoji domain registrations.

So, whether you’re new or old to emoji domains, there’s something for everyone to learn watching this emoji domain registration video.

If you have questions or comments about registering emoji domains or general emoji domain questions/comments, please drop me a comment or question below, and I’ll do my best to find the appropriate answer.

Good luck with emoji domain registrations and investing in one of the hottest domain niches to date!

Before I forget, stop by and read about how to valuate emoji domains. See you around.
